TWBS Bowls Society Open Pairs Title goes to Kyle and Cameron!

Congratulations to Kyle Ferguson and Cameron Pinder of Year 10 who are this year’s TWBS Bowls Society Open Pairs Champions.

A 6-0 result in their final game means that the boys win the league by 1 point, just pipping top seeds Louisa and Kira of the Newlands Girls’ School to the Title.

The final league table is as follows:

It has been a great year for the boys in the Bowls Society!  A total of 21 boys have played the game since its inception last year, six of whom have gone on to play fixtures for the Met Police Bowls Association, four of whom have since become paid up members of Desborough Bowls Club, with one continuing his membership of Iver Heath Bowls Club, and five have been invited to represent the county at U25 level alongside some excellent England U25 Internationals.

With discussions currently taking place about forming a Berkshire Schools Bowls League with an initial four to five schools and a Berkshire Schools Singles competition commencing next year with TWBS Bowls Society and Desborough Bowls Club at the forefront, there is much to be excited about.

For those students interested in taking part next year please come and see me in the Maths Department.
