This week has possibly been our quietest of the academic year so far.  No concerts or events, but still rehearsals every day.  It is nice to have a week where we can focus more on the classroom and keep the music making ticking along outside of the school day.  We are very much working towards our March 30th Upper Schools Concert and our Night at the Musicals on Monday 31st January.  I am thrilled to see students signing up to perform and they are an inspiration to me.

This week we have seen students starting to learn instruments for the first time and we have welcomed new members along to our choirs and ensembles. It is never too late to start learning or get involved in school music making. Please do speak to me if you have any questions or want to get started.

Year 11 parent evenings are now complete, and I am proud of the hard work and response of the students.  Education is very much a partnership between home and school, and I always love sharing the positives on parents evening.

We are also looking forward to the Platinum Jubilee and more work is being done on the exciting “Schools Week” that is taking place before May Half Term.

I hope you have a lovely weekend and please do put the dates in your diary for our upcoming events.
