Year 12 Career Development Week

Pupils returned from their various work experience placements having developed a wide range of employability skills and a better understanding of the workplace. Feedback from employers was really positive and demonstrates how well pupils from TWBS embraced the opportunities presented to them.

“Zain was very impressive.  He got involved with the team as much as possible, observing and asking them any questions he had that may help him get a role in a financial institution in the future.

Overall, a real delight to have him and we decided to present him with an award at the end of the week.” Branch Manager, Nationwide

Pupil feedback was equally encouraging:

“I had work experience at Virgin Atlantic, and was based in their headquarters in Crawley for a week. I got to attend business meetings, discuss new projects, discus job roles like a business analyst so I could get more of a feel for it, meet the CEO of Virgin Holidays and I even started working on my own business projects. They reimbursed me for my travel, gave me plenty of gifts and even gave me a fantastic reference which will benefit me for life.” Torben Stewart

Well done to all pupils who found their own placements and represented TWBS in such a professional manner.
