The local Holyport College won the toss and decided to bat. The goal was to keep the visitors under 80. A very accurate opening spell from Kai Ziemkendorf restricted the guests out of the blocks. Harrison Tunn then took a wicket with his first ball in a super spell. The Holyport keeper played some powerful shots on his way to 28.
Freddie Fearnley took a couple of good catches and Kai, an outstanding one. At wide long on, he moved around the boundary underneath a high ball. He judged the flight superbly and took it with a fantastic effort over his shoulder. Maybe catches were to win matches.
The College reached 99 from their allotted 20 overs. Windsor lost a wicket early on but Harrison and Freddie steadied the ship. Things were ticking over nicely until Harrison Tunn was run out. Mutahir Imran played a couple of great shots in a cameo but it was the power of Fearnley that got the lads home. He and Harry Tomalin rotated the strike very maturely and got the boys a victory. A couple of hefty blows from Freddie finished the game early as the final strike was hit over mid-on and the game was won by 7 wickets with 6 overs to spare. Freddie had reached on an impressive unbeaten 39.
This victory should give the boys confidence as they approach their next opponents.
