Sport and Extra Curricular Activities

Sports

Wednesday afternoons are set aside for Sixth Form activities, and most boys opt for sport. This provides an excellent outlet from, or antidote to, your academic studies. Other options, such as going to the gym or studying, are also available to you.

A wide range of sports is offered and most can be taken to a very high level. Games available (according to season) are listed here.

  • Athletics
  • Badminton
  • Basketball
  • Cricket
  • Football
  • Hockey
  • Rowing
  • Rugby
  • Squash
  • Swimming
  • Table Tennis

Extra Curricular Activities

We strongly encourage our sixth formers to test out, take part in and commit themselves to a wide range of extra-curricular activities. Whilst this is helpful in gaining employment, it also has clear educational and personal value.  Such involvement can add greatly to the satisfaction you derive from your time in the Sixth Form.  Employers and admissions officers also attach great importance to it, as it says more about a student personally than his academic work alone can.

The following represent just some of the activities in which sixth formers have recently been involved (alongside acting as Prefects, being house officials and running societies).

  • Academic and Pastoral Mentoring
