A Level Courses
Students in YEAR 12 will take FOUR subjects (A Levels or Btecs or a mixture of both) to Advanced Subsidiary (AS) level and in YEAR 13 will take THREE of those subjects on to A2.
In some exceptional circumstances boys may continue with four subjects. The needs and capabilities of all students will be looked at individually.

Currently, all subjects will be taken as exams at the end of Year 12, at AS Level and Btec Level, and at the end of Year 13 at A2 Level. There are now no January modules. From 2015, however, some subjects will move to an entirely linear model where the AS will not count towards the final A2 grade, though the exams will still be sat to allow progress to be measured and give definitive evidence on which to base their decision about which subject to drop at the end of Year 12.
