U15A Hockey

Last Saturday the U15As played their first hockey match against a very strong Reigate team. The first half was played mainly in the Windsor half with the Windsor defence doing very well to soak up the relentless pressure.  Sadly though they could not hold off the countless short corners and eventually Reigate took the lead with an own goal. The defence collectively had worked really well and were unfortunate to concede so close to half time.

In the second half with the help of some fresh legs from the bench, Windsor had more possession and territory. Some excellent play from man of the match Kai Ziemkendorf (pictured), plus Matthew King and Zahin Adib helped create several chances but sadly the boys could not score. Reigate replied and once again camped themselves in the Windsor half for the rest of the game and after more short corners they finally cracked again and Reigate extended their lead.

Overall the team played well against a quality side. There were many positives to take from the game but also lots of areas to work on.
