On Tuesday we took 26 pupils from Years 11, 12 & 13 to the Heathrow Jobs Fair. This annual event provides pupils with a fantastic opportunity to meet with employers who are looking to recruit school leavers into apprenticeship programmes. The wide range of exhibitors meant pupils were able to talk to employers from catering and construction, to engineering and security companies. There were many of employers offering STEM based apprenticeships, which is seeing a huge amount of growth, and pupils were particularly interested in these.
The boys were briefed on how to get the most out of the visit, and I was delighted to see how pupils from TWBS impressed employers with their ability to engage in a professional and polite manner.
