Dragon’s Den Challenge 2017 – Pupils have a successful day of selling in Windsor town centre

Year 10 pupils braved the freezing temperatures on Tuesday and set up their Christmas market stalls in Peascod Street, Windsor. Selling a wide range of goods from homemade tree decorations to cupcakes and ‘Jars of Joy’, the stalls attracted a great deal of attention from local shoppers who were keen to support pupils.

Raf Harris and David Saab, members of the TWBS Leos Club, were running a food donation stall for the Slough Trussell Trust Food Bank, and were extremely successful. At the end of the day they had a trolley full of food donations and had raised £185, for this worthy local charity.

Charlie Wallace made some wonderful handmade Christmas cards and managed to raise money for his volunteering trip to Costa Rica.

Our sponsors, Lee Waller from LA Micro and Andrew Hayward from Owen White Solicitors were impressed with the boys and are looking forward to meeting with them in the new year as each group will be required to present their profit and loss account to the ‘dragons’. The good news is that all the boys ended up with a profit, with some stalls achieving over £200 profit.

Well done to all the pupils who entered the challenge and thank you to Lee and Andrew for their support.
